Tim Sevenhuysen is an author, a husband, and a father. He holds a Master's degree in sociology from the University of Victoria.

On April 30, 2011, Tim married Larissa. It was the best decision he's ever made. On April 13, 2012, their first child, Calvin William, was born.
Tim self-publishes his fiction online through the TimSevenhuysen.com Store, maintains two online serialized web fiction projects—Special People and Losing Freight—and writes daily 50-word stories at FiftyWordStories.com.
From 2008 to 2010, Tim was involved with LoadingReadyRun, an online sketch comedy group that airs several different comedy series on The Escapist and Penny Arcade TV.
